Terms of service
11 September 2026
These terms apply when you use Instnt Print. They are written to be read, not to be survived: plain sentences, and where something is limited, the reason is next to it.
1.Who you are dealing with
Instnt Print, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 59580577, delivers the service described below. You can reach us at hallo@instntprint.com. These terms apply to every use of the service, including the free plan and the trial.
If you have agreed something else with us in writing, that comes first. Your own purchase conditions do not apply unless we accepted them in writing.
Statutory name and registered address: to be completed.
2.What the service is
You send us values and the name of a template; we draw the label or receipt and send it to your printer through a bridge on your own network. You can design templates, manage printers and call everything over the API.
What we do not do: we are not your printer supplier, we do not maintain your network, and we cannot print when your bridge is offline or out of paper. Those are the parts that stay yours.
3.Your account
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what your colleagues do with the roles you gave them.
- An API key is a password. Keep it out of public code and out of a browser that anyone can open. Do you think a key has leaked? Remove it in the dashboard; that takes effect immediately.
- Your details must be correct, because your invoice is made from them.
4.What you may print
What you print is your business, up to the point where it becomes ours: nothing unlawful, nothing that infringes someone else’s rights, and nothing that abuses the service — such as hammering the API to a standstill or using it to send other people unwanted paper.
If that happens we will tell you first and give you the chance to fix it. Only when there is no time for that — a leaking key, an attack, an order from an authority — do we intervene immediately, and we tell you why afterwards.
5.Your work stays yours
Your templates, your data and what you print are yours. We use them to run the service and for nothing else: not to train anything, not to sell, not to show anyone.
The service itself — the software, the site, the template library — stays ours. A template you copy from the library becomes your own copy, which you may change and use; the library stays where it is.
6.The bridge
Buy a bridge and it is yours. It receives firmware updates from us as long as you use the service; an update can change or improve how it works. A bridge that is broken on arrival is replaced — a bridge that is broken because it fell is not.
You can also run without hardware, on the virtual bridge. That one prints to the screen and not to paper, and it does not count towards your plan.
7.Plan and usage
There are three plans: Free (€0 a month, 200 prints, one bridge), Small (€12 a month, 10,000 prints, two bridges) and Business (€39 a month, 100,000 prints, ten bridges). Above the included number you pay €1 per 1,000 prints. Prices are excluding VAT.
We count only what actually came out of a printer. A job that failed is not counted, and neither is a test run — someone whose labels fail because of a fault should not be paying for that as well.
8.Paying
- The subscription runs per month and is invoiced per month, afterwards, together with any usage above your plan.
- The payment term is 14 days.
- If an invoice remains unpaid we send a reminder before anything else happens. Only after that can we pause the service — and we tell you before we do, because a printer that stops without warning is a counter that stops.
9.Stopping
You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the running month. There is no minimum term and no notice period. When you cancel, we delete your data, except what we are legally required to keep — see the privacy policy.
Export what you want to keep before you cancel. Your templates and your print history are available through the dashboard and the API as long as your account exists.
10.Availability
We do our best to keep the service running and we do maintenance outside office hours where we can. We do not promise a percentage unless we agreed one with you in writing. What we do promise: if something is down, you can see it on the status of your bridge and printers in the dashboard rather than having to guess.
11.Changes
The service changes: things get added, and occasionally something disappears. If a change means you can do less than before, we tell you in advance. The same goes for these terms and for prices: we let you know at least a month ahead, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
12.When something goes wrong
Printing goes wrong sometimes. Paper runs out, a network drops, a template turns out to be wrong. Check your own output — especially before you run a hundred of them.
Our liability for damage is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it happened, and we are not liable for consequential loss such as lost turnover. That is not us shrugging: it is the only way a service of twelve euros a month can exist alongside a risk that has no ceiling. For anything caused deliberately or by gross negligence on our part, this limit does not apply.
13.Data
What we do with personal data is in the privacy policy. For what you print we act on your instruction; that policy explains what that means and where the line runs.
14.Applicable law
Dutch law applies. If we cannot work something out together, it goes to the competent court in the Netherlands. But write to us first — most of it is a misunderstanding that an e-mail solves.
